With summer meeting its sad end last month, and the sun going down on several massive festivals of late, one could be forgiven for thinking we are heading into some dark times musically. But before you pack away your fluro festival sunnies and take up knitting, superstar DJ and Gold Coast hero Fisher has come back to home turf with his inaugral OUT 2 LUNCH FESTIVAL. Touted as being the biggest beach party Australia has seen, the festival promises to be a celebration of sun, surf, music and good vibes.
Fans of Fisher will be thrilled to experience a two-hour headline set from 'The Fish' that assures a showcase of his growing body of work. House and Tech house enthusiasts can also expect an impressve lineup that incudes Vintage Culture, Flight Facilities, Little Fritter, and another surf pro turned DJ, Shimmy (Dimity Stoyle).
Paul Fisher, better known by his stage name Fisher has cemented himself in the electronic music scene with a string of hits, including viral 2018 release 'Losing it'. With a larger than life personality, Grammy and ARIA award nominations, a successful seltzer brand, it seems the only way is up for the ex-professional surfer.
Fisher's OUT 2 LUNCH FESTIVAL will unfold on May 4 at Coolangatta beach. The beach bash is set to deliver seven hours of high vibes for those who were quick enough to snap up tickets to the now sold out event.
This event is one of many mainstage performances for Fisher in 2024 as he makes his way around the world including gigs at Bonnaroo Festival (USA) and Electric Love Festival (Austria), putting the Gold Coast local on lineups with the likes of Fred Again, Pretty Lights, DJ Snake, The Chainsmokers, and a flood of other international talents.
It all kicks off with the OUT 2 LUNCH FESTIVAL though, with golden sands, a top quality lineup, and a booming two-hour set from the mixing messiah himself, Fisher fans around the country are buzzing for beach festival fun.

About the Author
Multiple studies show that playing music while you work is distracting. While no one can really deny this fact- I’m sure many, including me, turn a blind eye to this. In 2022 I moved from Singapore to Melbourne for university. I had never given much thought to the music scene here, I was convinced that the UK and the US had the format down and we unfortunately did not. How quickly I was proven wrong. The Australian sound grew on me quickly and I soon came to realise how underrepresented we are in the music scene. As a passionate writer and music fanatic, it is great to get involved with underground artists and give them the limelight they truly deserve.
